The reason you need an LED driver is that the load of an LED lamp is so small a normal driver doesn’t always recognise there is a lamp there so doesn’t do any driving! Sometimes a bulb will light initially then either go out or flash. A lot of the time the lamp just wont come on at all. This is why we recommend trying just one bulb at first to check if your current transformer is LED compatible. There is a possibility that not using an LED driver can shorten the lifespan of an LED, a lot of retailers won’t tell you that!
This transformer will power up to a maximum of 10 watts (so for example it will run a total of 6 x 1.5 watt LED G4 capsules)
When wiring the lamps should be wired in parallel and not in series. If in doubt always use a qualified electrician
