These lamps are used in water and air disinfection units. They have pins at only one end and are very thin at only 19mm in diameter
A single ended UV tube is useful because all the connector pins are at one end so you don’t need to get wires to the far end of the lamp – this is helpful as the lamp is usually in a Quartz Glass sleeve

They have a special coating that ensures optimum UVC maintenance throughout their life (which is 9,000 to 11,000 hours) and they do not produce ozone.
It is a good idea to change them annually particularly if they are being used to purify drinking water
